Married At First Sight groom Dan Hunjas has been served with legal papers after he spoiled a major storyline on the show by going public with his new girlfriend.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the 42-year-old was ordered to 'stay away' from his new ladylove, busty nurse Samantha Symes.

According to a production source, Dan's actions were seen as a threat to the ratings of the show, and Channel Nine has taken swift action to make an example of him.

'Channel Nine has a reputation to uphold, and they're not going to let anyone ruin the series, they can't have a repeat of season seven,' said a source.

'Dan has gone too far, and now he's facing the consequences.' 

Last week the entrepreneur confirmed he was dating the busty nurse just four months after she attended his TV wedding to Sandy Jawanda.

Since then, the couple has made no effort to hide their romance, despite Dan's 'marriage' to Sandy still playing out on the show.

Both Nine, Sandy and producers are 'furious' at Dan for spoiling the fact his marriage to Sandy doesn't last. 

As of now, Dan is said to be cooperating with Channel Nine and has promised to 'stay away' from Samantha.

The cast also received a stern reminder about 'playing the part' and keeping storyline details under wraps until they have aired on television - this includes wearing their wedding rings for another seven more weeks.

Meanwhile, a guest who attended Dan and Sandy's wedding claims he went rogue because he 'wasn't happy with his edit' after watching footage at the cast reunion.

They told Daily Mail Australia producers tried to make Dan appear like a 'soft, one-dimensional office guy' so he would seem more compatible with Sandy. 

Most of Dan's original introductory video - which showed him taking part in extreme sports and driving luxury cars - was also left on the cutting room floor.

'Ninety-five per cent of Dan’s backstory was never shown. Dan's original backstory was filmed at sunrise on the beach, showing him swimming, running, working out, driving his Porsche, as well as his passion for the beach, jet skiing and wave jumping,' they said. 

'Dan is semi-retired. Why only show him in an office where he spends less than five hours per month?' the guest added.

'I think that if they showed who he really was, the audience would see that it was a deliberate mismatch right from the beginning.'

The friend also claimed the newlyweds weren't as smitten as they seemed on screen.

'Sandy spoke to Dan during the wedding reception about his beach lifestyle... and confessed she hates the beach and is allergic to ocean water,' they said, adding that Sandy's allergy was a red flag for Dan.

Dan confirmed his marriage to Sandy was over last month when photos surfaced of him kissing new girlfriend Samantha Symes at the Garden Kitchen and Bar at The Star Gold Coast.

Following their date, Samantha brazenly shared a picture on Instagram of herself sitting on Dan's lap as he kissed her cheek.

Sandy has not yet commented on the photos, but sources close to the pair say she is deeply hurt and upset by the situation. 

The couple put on a lusty display yet again when they were photographed kissing and cuddling at the beach on the Gold Coast on Sunday.

Daily Mail Australia understands that while Samantha attended Dan's wedding as a guest, they didn't start dating until after his relationship with Sandy had fizzled out.

'Dan and Sandy had nothing in common. He lives a completely different lifestyle, while he and Samantha share very similar values and interests,' said a friend.

The pair hit it off after being introduced by a mutual friend a year and a half ago.
