A lip reading analysis of Tom Brady's recent furious tirade on the phone raises questions about who the retired quarterback was talking to with such outrage.
The exiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback was caught on camera lashing out on his phone while watching his daughter's horse riding lessons on Wednesday.
Jeremy Freeman, a forensic lip reader certified by the Deafness Cognition and Language Research Centre at University College London, confirmed to DailyMail.com that Brady was outraged by the caller.
'Stop calling me,' Brady allegedly said at the start of the video.
He could then be seen angrily saying, 'I sound stupid' as he tries to explain something pertaining to his retirement.
'What am I supposed to do,' he then asks.
According to Freeman, the seven-time Superbowl champion then says, 'This has to stop.'
Freeman did note that it was difficult to tell exactly what Brady was saying given the angle of the video.
The outrage seen in the footage stood in stark contrast to the calm video he posted a few hours earlier to announce his retirement for the second time.
Brady revealed yesterday he was retiring 'for good' after making a U-turn on his first decision to quit last year, which seems to have sent his life into a spiral - causing his split with supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
Brady, made his second retirement announcement from his 22-year NFL career early Wednesday morning, before taking his daughter Vivian, 10, for a horseback lesson in Florida.
But despite seeming serene in his announcement video, Brady was irate and could be seen screaming into his headphones as he had an animated conversation with someone on his phone.
He appeared to be filming his daughters' lessons for a period, but the superstar quickly started yelling and gesturing angrily - at one point spitting in rage.
Cutting a casual figure in a white t-shirt and neutral-colored tracksuit bottoms, Brady's smiling demeanor quickly switched as he started pointing and raising his voice.
It is unclear exactly what made the Super Bowl winner so emotional, but he seemed to calm down by the time the lesson was over.
Brady split with his supermodel ex-wife Gisele, 42, on October 28 last year – after he'd promised her that he would retire to allow her more time for her career.
However, the Super Bowl winner quickly changed his mind and returned to the sport just 40 days later, which seems to have sparked problems for the A-List couple, ending in their divorce.
Making the announcement yesterday, he told the camera: 'Good morning guys. I'll get to the point right away. I'm retiring for good.
'I know the process was a pretty big deal last time so when I woke up this morning I figured I'd just press record and let you guys know first.
'It won't be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year, so... really, thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me.'
Once the lesson was over, he quickly changed his attitude, laughing and smiling with Vivian as they walked back to a car.
He clutched his daughter's hand and the pair chatted animatedly as he swung a black water bottle at his side.
The global superstar was later seen smiling with his daughter as he bought them both iced drinks from a nearby shop.
Brady reportedly 'informed the Bucs at 6:00am he'd be retiring,' according to ESPN's Jeff Darlington.
It's believed that Brady will now transition to the broadcast booth with FOX Sports, with a reported ten-year, $375million contract waiting for him.
His retirement announcement comes one year to the day that he first announced he was stepping back from the game. Brady first retired in January 2022 while he was with the New England Patriots, but stayed away for a mere 40 days before announcing he would return to the Buccaneers for the 2022 season.
In the video announcing his second retirement he added: 'My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors. I could go over forever, there's too many.
'Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn't change a thing. Love you all.'
Shortly after announcing his retirement, his ex-wife Gisele broke her silence by posting a comment on his Instagram – which included pictures of the two of them together.
'Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life,' Bundchen wrote, along with a prayer hands emoji.
Brady and Bundchen share two children together, son Benjamin, 13, and Vivian.
Bundchen had expressed worry over Brady's health, playing in the often violent workplace that is the NFL, admitting in an Elle magazine story that she had those discussions with her husband.
The former power couple were married for 13 years, from 2009.
In his statement announcing the divorce, he said it had been a 'difficult' and 'painful' decision that the pair reached after 'much consideration'.
Gisele added: 'To end a marriage is never easy... we have grown apart.'
She said she 'wishes the best' for Brady, adding: 'I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always,' she said.
Both said they would continue to co-parent their two children together.'
Over the winter holidays, the mother-of-two was spotted in Costa Rica, warming up to her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente.
However, a source close to Gisele furiously denied that they're in a relationship, insisting that the date was anything but romantic - and noting that Joaquim is nothing more than a close family friend.
Gisele and Joaquim appear to go way back, and they even participated in a photoshoot for Dust Magazine together alongside Joaquim's brothers, Pedro and Giu Valente, last year.
