Paralympic hero Dylan Alcott and his sexologist partner Chantelle Otten open up about their fertility journey in a brand new Channel 9 show called Big Miracles.

The series highlights the fertility journeys of various couples on the show, and the ups and downs they go through for their dream to start a family.

Chantelle and Dylan began dating in 2018, and now they are hoping to get the ball rolling on starting a family.

On the show which airs on Channel 9 on Monday, February 13, viewers can follow Chantelle, 32, as she freezes her eggs with her tennis star partner Dylan, 32, by her side.

The couple decided to freeze Chantelle's to ensure they are healthy when they decide to start a family, and said they hope by sharing their journey that others feel less alone when making decisions about their fertility journey.

In the trailer, the sexologist said she can 'picture having kids with Dyl' before her tennis star partner pumps his fist and excitedly says: 'let's freeze some eggs baby!'

Taking to Instagram on Monday to share the news with her followers, Chantelle wrote: 'Dylan and I are lucky enough to be working with the show, and there is a reason why I want to share with you a personal and intimate part of our life.

'The decision to freeze my eggs has been a long time coming and with the help of and a team of experts working around me, I hope to share our journey with you and give you a glimpse into the world of fertility.'

She continued to say that as a sexologist, she sees the daily struggles that people who are trying to conceive face,  and the added stress that comes with the notion of the ticking biological clock.

'I believe that knowledge is power, and I want to empower other menstruators by sharing my experience and hopefully inspire them to take control of their own fertility journey,' Chantelle added.

'This decision to freeze my eggs at 32 was made to ensure that I have healthy eggs preserved for when the time is right to start a family.

'And I hope that by sharing this process on a national platform, it will help others to feel less alone and more empowered to make informed decisions about their own fertility.'

The sexologist said she feels 'very lucky' to have been given the opportunity to freeze her eggs and 'take control' of her fertility.

She added: 'I look forward to sharing this with you and hope it brings a new level of understanding and empathy to this important topic.'
