Ajla Tomljanović and Matteo Berrettini laid it all out there during filming for the Netflix series Break Point which went behind-the-scenes of professional tennis.
While they mostly appeared as a strong unit throughout the series, their relationship ultimately broke down on screen after three years of romance.
Speaking with the Herald Sun on Saturday, the top Aussie female tennis star, 29, said she doesn't regret filming her love scenes despite how terribly it ended.
'I have zero regrets, just because I think that's my motto in life,' she said when asked about the scenes they shot together in Melbourne during last year's Australian Open.
'I think that some of that episode [ep. two - Take The Crown], if people can have some takeaways, [it shows] what it's like when two athletes are dating and the struggles that come with it.
'But I also don't think you can really know much just by seeing when it comes to the actual relationship.'
While she has no regrets, Tomljanović went on to say she will think twice in the future about putting so much of her romantic life out there for the public to see.
The couple featured in episode two which was titled Take The Crown in reference to Berrettini's shot at winning the 2022 Australian Open after defending champion Novak Djokovic's deportation when he refused to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Cracks appeared in Tomljanović and Berrettini's, 26, relationship after the former had an emotional first round loss to Paula Badosa.
As the former couple argued over where Tomljanović would host a Tennis Channel interview at 8:15am, Berrettini insisted: 'I have to sleep. You go downstairs and ask for a room.'
'I'm going to say on air that you kicked me out,' Tomljanović joked.
'But they're going to agree with me. I'm still in the Australian Open!' Berrettini brutally replied.
Later in the episode, they said an emotional farewell but ultimately split for good last February after three years.
Tomljanović previously dated tennis 'bad boy' Nick Kyrgios for two years until 2017.
They reportedly went their separate ways after Kyrgios was seen leaving a London nightclub with two women, after which she scrubbed him out of her Instagram page.
