A woman has gone viral on TikTok after revealing the terrifying crawl spaces and narrow passages she found in a home she is currently renting - many of which were filled with possessions that make it appear as though someone was inhabiting them.
Jaclyn Williams, 29, who is based in the US, works for a private asset company and is currently renting a home with her husband Jay and their son.
The trio have lived in the house for two months, having moved in without seeing the house in person first because they were moving across the country.
Soon after moving in, the mom began to notice that something was 'off' about the property – and last month, her suspicions were confirmed as she discovered eerie secret passages around the property that TikTok users have dubbed 'perfect for serial killers'.
Jaclyn has shared several videos of her discovery, including one particularly eerie clip of a crawl space behind her stairwell, which has racked up over 2.2 million views and 422,100 likes so far.
'Why is there so many?' she captioned the post.
In the clip, Jaclyn can be seen opening a window located right next to the staircase, and opens it to reveal an empty room.
The room appears untouched with dry leaves and an unknown object on the floor.
The room also contains a door that Jaclyn believes leads into the garage - however, she said she wasn't 'ready' to explore the entrance yet.
TikTok users have been left creeped out at the sight.
'Hell no I don't feel comfortable staying there and I don't even know you,' wrote one person.
'That is definitely odd with all the crawl space! It's fun to explore but just be careful,' wrote someone else.
Meanwhile, one person made a suggestion to investigate further: 'You should get one of those UV lights and shine it in the small rooms to see if there is blood or something.'
'No it's fine it's just the most perfect house for serial killers,' added another terrified user.
Jaclyn revealed that the house was built in 1959 and she has found several strange quirks – such as backwards light switches, a safe room, wires hanging out of most walls and 16 working security cameras.
In her other TikTok videos, Jaclyn revealed several other crawl spaces dispersed all over the home and narrow passageways containing strange items - including an orange Converse shoe.
'My husband told me during the walk through the owner mentioned a crawl space between the first and second floor,' Jaclyn told Jam Press.
'This obviously peaked my interest as I had never heard of such a thing.
'I remember making him repeat what he said in disbelief.
'I went up to the loft and sure enough there was a tiny door leading to another tiny door, overlooking the below bedroom.
'I was shocked and sort of laughed it off, it definitely became a conversation point for a bit.
'One day I thought it would be an interesting TikTok and made the original "things in my rental home that just don't make sense" video of the main crawl space, which of course led me to eventually crawling inside and exploring more.
'There's a lot of old receipts dating back to 2004, creepy writing on the wall, such as "I heart Colleens body", thumb tacks lining the whole crawl space wall, a random shoe that was honestly there when I moved in, an old United States Tennis Association badge, and some things I haven't been able to identify yet.
'I only know the house's history from 1985 to present as being owned by the same family.
'I would love to know more about it though. I'm going to call my landlord and ask in an upcoming video.
'I absolutely did not think it would go viral. I cannot believe the attention the house has drawn.
'I figured it would get 100 views from my friends and that would be the end of my TiKTok career.
'The most frequent comments are "it's the Coraline house", "girl move", and "that house gives me the chills".
'There has been a lot of theories in the comments as well, such as people trying to solve cold case murders, there's someone living in the walls watching me, it's a cat hall, and that the house is haunted.
'The most interesting comment I've seen is that there's been a lot of people claiming they have or had dreams about the house.
'I really have no clue what the crawl spaces are for.
'One space is normal but there's so many of them that it makes one question why.
'I have more to explore so who knows what we have yet to find!'
