Welcome back cozy sweaters, cute jackets and pantsuits—fall is here. Beyond the regular fashion trends we’ve seen pop up this fall (lots of denim, chunky sweaters and boots), there are even more essentials to add this season. Here's some wardrobe essentials to pack into your closet.
Dairy Boy
Dairy Boy is one of the hottest New York brands that had a pop-up in Soho, with a long lineup around the block. Founded by influencer and YouTube personality Paige Lorenze, the brand recently launched their first-ever denim line as an ode to Lorenze’s love of quality, vintage denim (which can be hard to score in your own size).
“A lot of people don’t want to sift through tons of vintage clothes to find their size,” she said. “I wanted to make something I felt was missing in my own closet. I have a lot of vintage denim, but not a clean pair of new jeans—a relaxed straight-leg—that I can wear with almost anything. The whole idea of my brand, honestly, is to make stuff that I want that isn’t on the market.”
In addition to the jeans, there’s also a sumptuous line of tennis-themed hats that are fall must-haves, too. Pair them up with a trench coat and jeans, or your workout gear. Lorenze also has a housewares line with candles, pouch bags and accessories. Her latest collection is a customized camo pattern for women’s sweats and sweaters, which is both feminine and chic.
Aerie
Aerie, an intimate apparel brand selling bras, underwear, activewear and swimwear, from American Eagle Outfitters. Their fall collection is all about comfort. Their Chill Jogger pants are an absolute must-have for fall. The reviews on Aerie are right, they’re super comfortable. Pair it up with their Chill Crew sweater or their oversized boyfriend t-shirt, paired with their LumberJane fleece shirt. To add an upscale touch to a casual look, add the Fuzzy Sweater Cape.
Awe Inspired
This jewelry brand aims to “honor the goddess within.” It makes sense, then, that they have a Goddess Coin Necklaces that immortalize legendary women from the past, present, and mythology in gold or sterling silver medallions. Check out their Aphrodite Pendant, which “encourages women to honor their divine feminine,” noting that “true love starts with the self.” They also have a Goddess Quiz to see which Goddess you resonate with the most.
NFL x BOSS
The BOSS fall/winter 2023 campaign is all about channeling your own inner boss. As part of the campaign, the brand has featured industry changemakers like Naomi Campbell, Maluma, Lee Minho, Gigi Hadid, Khaby Lame, and Matteo Berrettini, Suki Waterhouse, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes. On the note of sports, BOSS teamed up with NFL for the BOSS X NFL Collection, featuring scarves, t-shirts, shorts, jackets and sweaters that support your favorite team.
Trina Turk
The suit for the fall season comes from Trina Turk, the Dewey Nicks set, a navy and pink plaid pant and blazer set. This retro-inspired collection takes us back to New York City's bustling downtown scene in the 1960s and 1970s, which inspired the designer for the latest collection.
Lisa Maree
Australian brand Lisa Maree's latest collection elevates classic items like little black dress, denim, bandeau tops and mini skirts with a smart feather trim. From their Intense Defense Feather Mini Dress in Green or their Lilac Street Leather Jacket, they’re pieces perfect for a night out. One favorite is A Touch of Frost feather denim mini dress, which pairs up a jean dress with ostrich feathers.
VIVAIA
When it comes to loafers, it’s hard to find a pair that won’t cut your feet. VIVAIA, leaders in quiet luxury footwear, have their Caitlin 2.0 Loafers, which are ideal for trips to the office. These vintage-inspired loafers are not only chic, but comfortable with a rubber sole and backing for your heels, so they won’t budge.
Streets Ahead
This celebrity-approved belt brand has been worn by Yellowstone's Lainey Wilson and Sex and the City's Sarah Jessica Parker. If you’re looking for statement belts, Los Angeles brand Streets Ahead is changing the game with their sturdy Italian leather belts. For a versatile, affordable option, try the Natalia belt, which comes in brown or black.
