Joe Hildebrand is known for being outspoken when it comes to discussions about news and current affairs.
And it seems one particular topic caused the former Studio 10 host, 44, to have a bizarre outburst during a live TV appearance on Channel Seven's The Morning Show.
On Wednesday, hosts Larry Emdur and Angela Cox led a discussion about parents who abuse the umpires of kids' sports games with Joe and Natarsha Belling, 45, also formerly of Studio 10.
They asked if misbehaving parents should be punished, as they specifically talked about a young tennis star's father who had an outburst at an umpire on the court.
But Joe turned the moment into a comedy, and yelled: 'Absolutely not, and I told you the ball was out!
'This is absolutely ridiculous!' he added as he angrily stormed off the set.
'He's gone to channel 10,' Larry laughed.
Just as Larry was about to ask Natarsha for her opinion on the matter, Joe returned to set pretending to be angry and carrying a white bar stool, which he swung.
He did not hit, nor was close to hitting his co-panellists, who were in on the joke and laughing at him.
Joe walked off again to put the chair away and when he returned Larry joked: 'I like the way Joe comes back like he's invited back.'
'I just came back to tell you that I'm now undergoing empathy training,' he quipped.
Joe was a panellist on Channel 10's morning program Studio 10 from 2013 up until he left in September 2020 due to 'restructuring' within the network.
He left the talk show for a new gig with 2GB and to continue writing for News Corp.
Natarsha was also on Studio 10 as a newsreader, and was let go around the same time and made redundant by the network.
