Emma Raducanu looked relaxed as she soaked up the sun at Elwood Beach in Melbourne today.
The tennis player, 20, appeared in great spirits as she lounged on the sand ahead of the 2023 Australian Open at Melbourne Park, which starts on the 16 January.
The British number one, who sustained an ankle injury last week in New Zealand, opted for a casual look in an over-sized white shirt which she wore over a navy cami top.
The athlete completed her relaxed look with white patterned shorts and pink Nike sliders.
She wore her brunette locks loose and appeared to go makeup free, showcasing her natural beauty.
Emma posed up a storm as she spent the day soaking up the Australian sun by the sea.
It comes after the tennis star admitted her trip to Auckland, New Zealand had ended on a sad note after she sustained an ankle injury on Thursday.
She limped off court in tears after exiting the ASB Classic in Auckland when she slipped after making a sharp turn behind the baseline.
Afterwards she criticised what she saw as a slippery indoor court surface– being used because of heavy rain outside – suggesting that such a mishap was likely to happen in those conditions.
However, Emma did manage to squeeze in some down time on her trip as she shared snaps of herself going for an oceanside stroll.
The athlete sported a brown crop top and matching pair of shorts as she spent some quality time with her pals.
Styling her locks into an up-do, she completed her look with a white bag and a pair of sunglasses.
Alongside the post, she wrote: 'A [sad] ending but still going to leave NZ with some fond memories - here's some from last week's beach afternoon up north after practice'.
Emma still headed to Melbourne in the hope that the ankle injury she sustained may not stop her from participating in the Australian Open.
The Auckland tournament director, Nicolas Lamperin, responded to her complaints by pointing out that the duty WTA Supervisor had deemed that the courts were fit for play.
'We are obviously very sorry about Emma's injury,' Lamperin told New Zealand media.
'As every player they work really hard in the off season, that's not what you expect when you play a tournament in week one.
'However, injuries happen all the time and it could have happened on outdoor courts as well. We feel sorry about the situation but we also say these courts are fit to play.
'First of all, I want to make sure she's OK. I understand the frustration. It's ten days ahead of the Australian Open. She's coming from a season with a lot of injuries, so of course this is something which creates frustration.'
