Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller lists Florida home for $399,000

Abby Lee Miller has reportedly listed her Florida home just two weeks after selling off her iconic dance studio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

According to TMZ, the Dance Moms star put the Davenport property on the market this week with an asking price of $399,000.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house rests in a gated community with a number of amenities, including a clubhouse and tennis courts.

The home has a charming brick driveway and a spacious two-car garage.

A brick path leads guests and occupants to the front door that opens to a spacious foyer with high ceilings.

Wood laminate floors cover the home's two living rooms as well as the dining area adjacent from the kitchen.

The kitchen has a vintage feel due to checkerboard tile flooring paired with bright white cabinetry and black marble countertops.

Stainless-steel appliances, including a stove, refrigerator and washing machine, coordinate perfectly with the kitchen's timeless silver hardware.

The master suite features a luxurious 2-person bathtub.

The backyard has a large swimming pool surrounded by towering palm trees.

Located to the left of the pool is a large patch of grass that connects to the spacious side yard.

The backyard is lined with white privacy fencing.

Abby's Davenport abode, as reported by TMZ, is located just 20 minutes from the Disney World theme parks.

Meanwhile, it is 30 minutes away from SeaWorld and Universal Studios Orlando.

The outlet also noted the listing is being held by La Rosa Realty broker Efreen Garcia Rodriguez and the property manager Carmen Rowe.

In December, it was revealed that Abby had officially sold off the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.

It marked the end of an era for the dance instructor and all of the young girls under her tutelage the past three decades.

According to the New York Post, the studio - which was made famous on the Lifetime reality series Dance Moms - was sold in an off-market deal for $300,000.

The studio was expected to close by the new year, and then the building will be used for commercial purposes by the new owners.

Upon word of the sale of the building, Abby took to her Instagram page to share some of the history behind her dream, and eventual plan, to open the Abby Lee Dance Company.

'Before there were tons of children with dreams… there was this 22yr old with a dream to build my own State of the Art Facility with the best sprung floors money could buy,' she wrote alongside five photos, including one when the studio was being built.

While mentioning some of the perks of the studio, Abby made a point of highlighting 'that oh so special Parent Observation Mezzanine - where you watched your toddler learn step by step how to do a cartwheel and then peek from the top of the steps as your graduating Sr ran their solo for the last time before a prestigious Title Comp that could very well change the trajectory of their life!'

She ended the post by declaring: 'And I did it!!! I did it for my students!'

Later that day, she uploaded a photo of the dance studio that was taken at the time it opened in the 1990s.

'Putting your name on a building does not guarantee a Legacy,' Abby began in the caption, before adding, 'Instilling a desire in kids to learn, to improve, to win, to push the boundaries, to dream big, and to succeed beyond their wildest expectations is what I did inside my studio day after day, year after year!'

Abby proceeded to confess that she's 'most proud of all the lives I've changed for the better - that is pure satisfaction. And all those careers, the countless achievements, the renowned artistry, along with global recognition is the Legacy I will leave someday.'

She concluded: 'It may be the 'End Of An Era for Pittsburgh', but it's just the beginning of an Allegheny County, Penn Hills School District & Penn Hills Municipality Tax-Free life for me!'

Abby bought the building back in 1993 for $150,000, and then began transforming it into her dream dance studio for young girls.

Eventually, she had the property transformed into the Abby Lee Dance Company, which would be showcased on Dance Moms, which debuted on Lifetime back in July 2013.

The show followed the training and careers of girls, aged 6–16, on the ALDC Junior Elite Competition Team as they learn their dances and then compete at dance competitions all across the country.

The series also showcased the training while under the care of Abby, as well as the relationships she had with the dancers and their often bickering mothers.

Maddie Ziegler and JoJo Siwa were two of her prized students showcased on the reality show that would go on to even more stardom.

After reaping the rewards of success, the Abby Lee Dance Company expanded its reach by opening a location in Los Angeles.

The dance coach left the hit reality show in 2017 during its seventh season amid ongoing legal issues that resulted in her serving an eight-month prison sentence.

A source told People at the time that Abby had battled financial problems for some time, which at times resulted in sheriffs posting notices that the building was going to be shut down due to unpaid taxes.

She would go on to make her return to Dance Moms for the final season in 2019, which also chronicled her health concerns in the wake of her non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma diagnosis the previous year.

In the end, Dance Moms ran for eight seasons, with the finale airing on Lifetime in September 2019.
