When the man turns around, the prankster continues the gag by clutching at his nose, hiding the spray bottle with his other hand.

While the homeless man appeared unaware of the nature of the prank, viewers were quick to accuse Erwin of being 'tone-deaf' and exploiting a vulnerable person for cheap laughs.

'Imagine sitting around with your group of friends thinking how you need new content and thinking of this bright idea to go out into the public and pick on the less fortunate,' one person wrote. according to 7 News.

'You have just proven that you have a complete lack of empathy towards other human beings.'

The video has been taken down from social media along with the personality's Instagram account.

The victim's lawyer Paul McGirr disagreed.

'(They) may think it's only mucking around, unfortunately for them the test is on the alleged victim and how they feel as a result of that prank,' he said.

The controversial duo were also charged after one of the brothers allegedly touched a woman with a hand-held feather duster at Sydney's Darling Harbour in 2019.
