The countdown has begun!
Amy Roloff enjoyed a four-day bachelorette party in the hot desert with two of her closest girlfriends last week, just months before she's set to walk down the aisle with her realtor fiancé Chris Marek.
The star of TLC's hit reality show Little People Big World arrived on Monday, April 26, at La Quinta, a Waldorf Astoria Resort in La Quinta, California, for a five-day vacation away from the cold, rainy, dreary weather of Hillsboro, Oregon.
Amy, along with pals Lisa and Debi, checked into the posh 'Santa Inez' Hacienda that costs over $600 per night.
Their accommodations opened directly to a large lap pool, Jacuzzi and sitting area with grass and covered gazebos.
The Historic 45-acre resort sits 25 miles east of Palm Springs, and boasts 41 pools, 53 hot tubs, five world class golf courses, seven restaurants, a luxurious Spa and fitness complex, and 23 tennis courts.
It was most recently featured in ABC's Bachelorette, which filmed there during the Covid-19 lock down in 2020.
It is a favorite escape - just two hours from Los Angeles - for celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Chris Rock, Madonna, and the political elite, including former Presidents Bill Clinton, George Bush Sr. and Jr.
On their first night, the 4'2' dynamo and her friends enjoyed margaritas at the La Quinta's Adobe restaurant.
She later posted a photo to her social media and captioned it, 'Arrived in Palm Springs with these two Besties. A little friends trip for a little #amyroloffsprebachelorette get together. Hmmm…A little sun, walking, mimosas, cosmopolitans and of course good food.'
If that was the goal of the trip, then these exclusive DailyMail.com show it was mission accomplished.
According to an onlooker, Amy and her friends made the most of their time at the resort.
'Amy used the pool every day, swimming laps, and doing water aerobics moves to get in some exercise. It was 100 degrees or thereabouts almost every day, so it was a necessity to cool off.'
The reality star was overheard singing the 1983 hit by Cyndi Lauper 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun,' to her friends as they sat in lounge chairs.
A group of golf widows (wives abandoned by their husbands for the golf course) sitting by the pool struck up a conversation with Amy, recognizing her from LPBW.
Soon, Amy was chatting with them like they were old friends.
'I actually wanted six kids,' she told them, 'I mean, like one every eighteen months. I wanted my kids close in age so they would all play together and be at the same stages in life. That's not how it worked out.'
Amy shares four children and four grandchildren with her ex-husband Matt Roloff, 59.
They were married almost 30 years, from 1987 to 2016, and are parents to twins Jeremy and Zachary, 30, Molly, 27, and Jacob, 24.
'You know,' she told her new friends, 'twin babies, wow, that was hard. It was like you wanted them on the same schedule, but no, it doesn't always work like that.'
Amy and pal Debi were seen clinking glasses filled with Mimosas poolside, saying 'Cheers!'
While her friends read historical biographies by the pool, Amy opted for a more fun read: 'Does This Beach Make Me Look Fat?' A 2015 'True Stories And Confessions' by a mother daughter team - Lisa Scottoline & Francesca Serritella - who regale the reader with funny tales from their own lives.
Despite the dry, hot weather, Amy seemed determined to get a tan, applying sun lotion all over and not wearing a hat like her pals.
She stayed the longest by the pool, telling Lisa and Debi, 'You guys get ready [for dinner] first, I'll go last.'
The trio enjoyed dinner at the upscale Lavender Bistro, and more drinks at the Adobe over the course of the four days.
On Wednesday morning, Amy enjoyed a trip to the Spa for a massage, paid for by her girlfriends.
On Thursday, a very tan Amy and Lisa took a taxi seven miles west to Palma Village, the upscale shopping district of Palm Desert.
Amy bought an outfit at Talbots, and found some more goodies at Saks Fifth Avenue before returning to the La Quinta Resort.
All this leads up to the Roloff matriarch's big day that is reportedly at the end of August or in early September.
She posted the news that granddaughter Ember Roloff, Jeremy's daughter, age three, will act as flower girl for the special event.
Amy, 58, will exchange vows with realtor Chris Marek, 58, who she met at a wine and painting party organized by her pal Debi almost five years ago.
Little People Big World has been airing non-stop since 2006, attracting millions of viewers and has now officially outlasted that other inveterate reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Amy has revealed it hasn't been all smooth sailing in the wedding planning department, telling her IG live fans, '[Chris] wants to be casual and wear a Hawaiian shirt and khakis at the wedding, I said 'no way!'
Little People Big World's 22nd season premieres on May 11, and sneak peeks show Amy and Chris touring the Roloff farm with Matt as a possible wedding venue.
It also shows clashes between the engaged couple inside the 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath home she purchased in September of 2019 for $588k.
A teaser for the new season shows Chris telling Amy, 'It kind of irritates me that I go through the trouble of clearing out a space, and I come back and—and you've put stuff in it!'
Sun-loving Amy has also said that she and Chris will honeymoon 'in Hawaii, or some island.'
At the same time Amy was working on her tan at the La Quinta Resort, her ex-husband Matt, and his longtime girlfriend - and former Roloff Farm manager - Caryn Chandler, 53, were doing the same thing on a vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and later his second home in Surprise, Arizona.
'It was good to see Amy having fun, moving on with her life, and enjoying her last days as a single woman with her close friends,' says the onlooker, 'They definitely packed a lot into their four days here!'
