Tokyo Olympics: When are each of the finals during the summer Games?

After being pushed back by 12 months due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the Olympic Games will finally take place in Tokyo this summer.

There will be a record 339 events across 33 competitions in the Japanese capital - including the introduction of five new sports - with plenty of action to keep up with throughout the two-week schedule.

And with Tokyo being eight hours ahead of the UK, many viewers may be concerned they will have to get up in the middle of the night to watch the world's greatest go for gold.

But not to worry! Organisers have scheduled the Olympic finals to be competed in the early morning or evening in Japan, meaning those in Britain will be able to tune in without losing too much sleep.

They have also been changed to factor in the extreme weather the country can see during the summer, with hot and humid days being the norm.

Sportsmail has pulled together the list of Olympic finals and gold medal matches in their entirety, which you can see below.
