Kylie McDevitt Kelce, the wife of Eagles center Jason Kelce, has played in her share of championship games, too.
In Kylie’s final two seasons at Cabrini University, a Division III institution located in Radnor, Pennsylvania, her field hockey team won the Colonial States Athletic Conference title for the third and fourth time in the program’s history. She was the CSAC’s rookie of the year in 2013 and a two-time first-team selection. Kylie even scored a career-high three goals in her final collegiate game — a loss in the 2016 NCAA tournament.
The latest championship game that Kylie will experience gets underway Sunday in Glendale, Arizona, where the Eagles will meet the Chiefs — and Kelce’s younger brother, Kanas City tight end Travis Kelce — in Super Bowl 2023.
Kylie and Kelce, 35, are a dating app success story who have been married since April 2018. Sunday will mark Kelce’s second Super Bowl appearance and the first since the pair tied the knot.
Kylie’s attendance at State Farm Stadium will come with a unique twist, though. Given she’ll be 38 weeks pregnant with the couple’s third child, Kylie plans to bring her ob-gyn in case she gives birth mid-game, as Kelce shared on a recent episode of his “New Heights” podcast with Travis.
“That could be a super Kelce Bowl,” Kelce said. “If she has a baby in the stadium, it’s officially scripted.”
Travis replied laughing and added, “We’re in ‘The Matrix.’ There’s no f–-king way.”
Kylie and Kelce’s baby-to-be will join the couple’s daughters Elliotte, 23 months, and 3-year-old Wyatt. The family announced in a September 2022 Instagram post that they are expecting, with Elliotte and Wyatt wearing “Big Sister” T-shirts at Weaver’s Orchard in Morgantown, Pennsylvania.
Although there isn’t a known date for when Kylie and Kelce first got together, the pair has been linked via Instagram posts since at least 2015, according to GudStory.
Two years after she and Kelce reportedly got together, Kylie graduated from college in 2017, the spring when her field hockey eligibility expired. Though she is said to have coached high school field hockey, it’s unclear if she still coaches.
In the months following Kylie’s college graduation, the Eagles won their first Super Bowl after defeating the Patriots in February 2018. The couple added more rings to their personal collection later that year with their lavish nuptials at the Logan Hotel, according to Philadelphia Magazine, when Kylie and Kelce were accompanied down the aisle by Winnie, their 120-pound Irish Wolfhound.
When speaking to the outlet, the couple’s wedding photographer remarked how she started “crying hysterically” after hearing Kelce’s speech because she connected with the “underdog thing.”
“His whole mentality and his approach to life just really hit me hard,” Sarah Alderman, the photographer, said. “I thought, ‘This is my groom.’”
The Eagles aren’t exactly underdogs in Super Bowl 2023, but a win Sunday would help Kylie and Kelce write an exciting new chapter in their family’s story — as they wait for their family to grow again with the birth of their third child.
