Hilary Duff looks sensational in a black dress and leather coat as attends string of NYC interviews

Hilary Duff looked sensational as she made her way to a string of appearances in New York City on Monday.

The 35-year-old actress went braless as she put on a stunning display in a long black dress which had a cut-out section at the cleavage and an ankle length leather coat for the occasion.

Having already attended Good Morning America at the break of dawn, Hilary kept herself busy as she arrived for the taping of Watch What Happens Live before heading to the Late Show with Seth Meyers.

The comedic star was there to talk about season two of her Emmy winning sitcom, How I Met Your Father, which debuts Tuesday on Hulu.

Hilary cut a glamorous figure in the all-black ensemble as she made her way down the streets of the city.

Featuring a daring slit on her chest, the mum of three paired the look with a simple pair of black heels and added inches to her gorgeous frame.

Wrapping up on her way to her second appearance, Hilary showed off her quirky leather coat which was embellished with black fur on the collar and a figure-hugging belt.

Her blonde hair was parted in the middle and fell down naturally past her shoulders in elegant waves.

She showed off her natural beauty with a warm palette of make up and a gorgeous red lip.

Earlier that morning, Hilary Duff looked glamorous as she headed for an interview on Good Morning America.

Hilary was stunning while bundled up in an ankle-length leopard-print coat over a red skirt and blouse as she arrived for a chat with GMA host Lara Spencer.

She plays Sophie in the ensemble cast about a group of single friends in the Big Apple.

She said: 'Sophie is... she's just looking for love in the modern world of dating, which is so difficult for so many, especially for her, but she never gives up,' she said of her intrepid character who is in an off-again moment with love interest Jesse, played by Christopher Lowell.

'Season two starts off with her just trying again. And then she gets involved in some tangles that start with some little white lies that turn into bigger lies and she's in a big lie snowball and it was very fun to play.'

The show is a spinoff of the very popular How I Met Your Mother, which aired for nine years before concluding in 2014.

At the end of season one of HIMYF, Cobie Smulders, who played Robin Scherbatsky in the original series, made a guest appearance, much to the delight of fans, and Hilary hinted there's more of that to come.

'I think I might lose my job if I told you who, but, we do have a special guest from the original cast coming this season and it was a dream come true working that day on set,' she said before adding, 'I think our dream would be to have everyone from the entire cast to come through at some time.'

The Lizzie Maguire star revealed she relies on her husband, Matthew Koma, who is a big fan of HIMYM, to help her look for references to the original in her scripts.

'If I'm reading a script and I'm not catching something, and I ask, "Is this a joke from the original?" he's like, "Yes Hilary, it's a joke from the original. How do you not know this?" and he'll tell me how to say it or tell me what big moment the swords were or whatever else is happening from How I Met Your Mother.'

'I think there's actually more hidden than we know, because we do lots of flash backs and flash forwards and then sometimes we have to go back and re-shoot something because we go this is a moment that could sneak something in, I think we'll end up at the end of the show that reveals all the tie-ins.'

Hilary recently called Matthew her biggest fan, and shared a photo he had taken of their daughter Banks, four, on Instagram Stories, pointing at a billboard promoting her hit show.

'This is a billboard on Ventura Blvd and my husband is so cute, he took her yesterday to take a picture with it and yeah, she's a cutie!.'

Hilary shares younger daughter, Mae, 22-months with the musician, and has an older son, Luca, 10, from her marriage to former hockey player Mike Comrie.

When comparing Sophie's life to her, the busy wife and mother said, 'My life is much more together than hers, so it's fun to go to work and fall apart a little bit.'

The Younger actress wrote about that when she posted some pre-appearance pictures from her hotel, wearing the same tomato red button down shirt and multi-rectangle skirt from A.W.A.K.E Mode.

'Early morning poses because this morning I’m up for @goodmorningamerica and not packing lunches and trying to brush toddler hair.'

Her HIMYF co-star Francia Raisa commented with flame emojis and writing, 'looooove you in red.' Actress Amanda Kloots agreed, writing 'So gorgeous.'

Hilary tagged her style team in the post, who accessorised the look with dangling earrings from Jacquie Aiche jewellery and Stuart Weitzman high-heel black sandals.

Even though she was on a work trip, the busy mom took some time out for some pampering, sharing a post-facial photo on social media explaining, 'You don't think I'd come to NYC without my stop to@daphne.nolita did you?'

Hilary said she feels 'so lucky that I keep getting jobs and I'm still able to work this long into my career,' adding, 'It's a juggle.'

The People's Choice Award winner explained that compartmentalizing helps, telling herself, '"okay, I have two more weeks of work left and then I get to like put on the mom hat and really be there for them for everything."'

'It's rejuvenating to go back home and hop into bath time.. and then you're also like, "there's nothing left for me, I'm done." It's tough. It's really tough.'
