BOYS BASKETBALL
In NEPSAC action, Antonio Pemberton dropped 27 points and Hunter Peabody added 22 to lift Austin Prep past Middlesex, 72-37. … Trevor Mullin and AJ Dybantsa each tallied 28 points and St. Sebastian’s defeated Phillips Andover, 68-65.
BOYS HOCKEY
Dylan Damiani had two goals and an assist while Evan Rocha added two assists and another goal for Lynnfield in their 6-3 victory over Cape Ann League foe North Reading.
Connor Chace scored the game-winner in overtime as North Andover topped Newton South, 2-1, in the Merrimack Valley/Dual County League. … Owen Kneeland finished with three goals and three assists as Methuen tripled up Lowell 9-3.
Brian Dunne and Dylan Stec scored goals in the final minute of the game, giving Dedham a dramatic 3-2 victory over Dover-Sherborn/Weston in the Tri-Valley League.
In the Cape and Islands League, Matt Quinlan tallied two goals as Falmouth defeated Dennis-Yarmouth 6-1.
Justin Dantona scored twice and Matt Fuccione made 33 saves as Merlose edged Middlesex League opponent Stoneham 3-2.
GIRLS HOCKEY
Callie Pineau had an unassisted goal and Nicole Prescott had 44 saves in regulation as Norwell and Plymouth skated to a 1-1 tie. … Jules Connors scored twice as Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake (9-4) defeated Hanover, 3-2.
Emma Holmes scored twice, including the game-winner in overtime, as Winthrop nipped Newburyport, 2-1.
LACROSSE
The second annual lacrosse A Shot For Life Clash Against Cancer event will take place at the Union Point Sports Complex in Weymouth and they will run from 2-6. The boys event will be on February 12 and the girls event will be on February 26.
