A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following an assault at a house in a sleepy village.
The woman, 53, was held at the scene and is being quizzed by murder detectives probing the death of the 54-year-old man in West Cowick, East Yorkshire.
Cops were called to Little London Lane, where the average house price is around £250,000, at 7.15pm last night to reports a man had been assaulted.
Humberside Police said he was rushed to hospital, but died shortly afterwards, sparking a murder probe.
A spokesman for the force said: 'The victim's family are currently being supported by specially trained officers and our thoughts remain with them at this very sad time.
'A 53-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and remains in our custody whilst officers carry out their enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.'

A 12-reg VW Golf convertible and a small Vauxhall van with the livery of a construction firm could be seen on the drive of the house.
Humberside Police said there was no wider risk to members of the public, but officers will remain in the area in the coming days.
Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Burnett said: 'We understand that news of a tragic incident such as this will cause shock and concern to people in the village and surrounding areas.
'However, I wish to reassure people that this was an isolated incident between people who were known to each other and, as such, there is no wider risk to members of the public.
'Officers will remain in West Cowick over the coming days whilst we continue with our investigation, and a scene guard will remain in place.
