Aaron Rodgers risks Green Bay Packers wrath with Las Vegas Raiders trade comments

It may already be the off-season for Aaron Rodgers, but he continues to fuel speculation about where he may be playing at the start of the next campaign.

The Green Bay Packers star has been enjoying a new sport this week as he's featured in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, but that doesn't mean that football has been forgotten about. Rodgers continues to make cheeky comments regarding his NFL future, making it look increasingly likely he won't be returning to the Packers.

After being heavily linked to the New York Jets, the Las Vegas Raiders have emerged as a new favourite to secure a trade for the veteran quarterback. And in an interview he teased the potential move, causing more conflict with the Packers.

Rodgers has been one of the star faces at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, as he winds down from a difficult season by playing some high-profile golf. But golf has almost been put on the back foot as Rodgers has been constantly flooded with questions about his NFL future from reporters, fans and even other players at the event.

The quarterback has been entertaining it too, already ruling out a move to the San Francisco 49ers, and laughing when it was suggested that he'd look good in a Dallas Cowboys helmet. But now he's spoken out about the constant calls from Raiders fans at the event, teasing a potential move.

When asked about what team he has in mind should he move ahead of next season, Rodgers said: "I’m just going to say the predominant team that we hear [from the fans] as we’re walking is Raiders. There's a lot of Raiders fans.

"There's been a lot of 'Davante misses you' comments. So we're having some fun with it. It's a great event, great for the fans to be out here."

But Rodgers remains a Packers player, and his constant comments about moving to other teams can't be going down well within the franchise. Rodgers still has two years left on his $150million extension that was signed last March, but it's looking more likely that he will see out those years with another team.

Rodgers claimed he hasn't been involved in conversations with the Packers as of late, stating on the Pat McAfee Show: "It sounds like there’s already conversations going on that aren’t involving me, which are interesting. I’m not a part of those conversations right now."
