Travis Kelce becomes Indiana Jones to promote his Saturday Night Live gig

Kansas City Chiefs star and this year's Super Bowl Champion Travis Kelce has shown off his acting skills for his highly-anticipated TV debut on SNL in three days' time by channeling his inner Indiana Jones in an original teaser for this weekend's episode.

The 33-year-old tight end wore typical safari-style attire in true Indiana Jones fashion that even Harrison Ford would be proud of, proving that he'll do anything to provide entertainment both on the field and off of it.

Inspired by Steven Spielberg's 1981 action-adventure film 'Raiders of the Lost Ark', Kelce collaborates with SNL comedian Marcello Hernandez in attempting to replace a gold SNL logo with the Super Bowl trophy, also called the Vince Lombardi trophy.

By the end of the skit, however, footage shows two SNL producers hilariously asking each other what on earth Hernandez and the NFL star are doing.

'How long have they been doing that?' a female producer asks her male counterpart.

'Couple of hours,' he replied before the clip shows Kelce giving a piggyback ride to Hernandez while leaving the production set for the episode airing on March 4.

'Doesn't he play football?' then said the female producer, visibly unaware of who the eight-time Pro Bowler is. 'He plays soccer? Oh, football,' replied her male colleague.

The pair then accentuated the difference in pronunciation between football for American football and fútbol for soccer, as practiced in many Spanish-speaking countries.

In February, appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Kelce revealed that he's nervous to be appearing on the show with another SNL first-timer, country pop singer Kelsea Ballerino.

However, Fallon reassured the NFL star by telling him that he can sing and that 'he's so charming' and 'fun'.

Kelce had six receptions for 81 yards in the 38-35 win against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVI in Glendale, Arizona.

The tight-end also had one touchdown in the first quarter of the 'Kelce Bowl' against his 35-year-old, older brother, Jason, who plays as a center for Philly. Both brothers became the first pair of siblings to play against each other in Super Bowl history.
