Manchester City take on Everton in this weekend’s FA Cup quarter-final looking to keep any dreams of a quadruple alive.

Pep Guardiola’s side will wrap up the Premier League in the closing weeks of the season and have a Carabao Cup final in April to look forward to - but the focus now turns to the other English domestic cup competition after sealing a Champions League quarter-final spot last week.

Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton, meanwhile, are looking to give fans another reason to smile during a promising season as they look to end 26 years without a trophy.

The FA Cup quarter-final clash between Everton and Manchester City at Goodison Park kicks off at 5.30pm (GMT) on Saturday March 20.

Team news

Everton will be without goalkeeper Jordan Pickford who limped out of last weekend’s Premier League clash with Burnley following a hip problem. Second-choice goalkeeper Robin Olsen is not injured so youngster Joao Virginia is set to deputise between the sticks.

James Rodriguez is making his return from injury but Saturday’s cup encounter comes just too soon for the Colombian midfielder. Defender Yerry Mina could make his return to the starting line-up after missing the Toffees’ last five games due to a calf problem. Abdoulaye Doucoure is another absentee for Everton with a long-term foot fracture.

Manchester City could hand a rare opportunity for Nathan Ake to play as he continues his recovery from a hamstring issue.

The Dutch defender has not played since Boxing Day but Pep Guardiola confirmed last week that Ake is back and ready to play again.

The Premier League leaders have no other injury concerns but are still expected to rotate. Zack Steffen is expected to replace Ederson in goal as City’s back-up goalkeeper.
