NEW DELHI: Mohammed Shami enthralled the audiences with his four-wicket haul on the first day of the second Test against Australia but the Indian pacer also stole the limelight when he came to the rescue of pitch invader at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.Invading pitch by fans in international matches is not new but what Shami did is probably seen for the first time by a player when security officials started dragging him back off the field.A fan on Friday entered into the field in an attempt to get close to the players but security officials were quick enough to thwart his efforts. But Shami went close to the security personnel and seemed to have told them to be lenient to the invader. Shami was the pick of the Indian bowlers as they bowled out Australia for 263 in the first innings. Australia were once again undone by India's slow bowling as the spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin (3/57) and Ravindra Jadeja (3/68) shared six-wickets between them.Contributions by opener Usman Khawaja (81) and Peter Handscomb (72 not out) took Australia over the 250-run mark.
