NEW DELHI: Skipper Rohit Sharma delighted the Nagur crowd with his ninth century on the second day of the first Test against Australia. Rohit, who missed out on majority of Test cricket in last one and a half years due to injuries, notched up his first century in the longest format since September 2021. With the masterful ton, Rohit became the first Indian to score hundreds across Tests, ODIs & T20Is as Team India captain. He also became only the fourth international captain-batsman after Babar Azam (Pakistan), Faf du Plessis (South Africa) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (Sri Lanka) to achieve the special feat.
