The Washington Wizards will look for their sixth win in a row when they visit the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, January 30 at the AT&T Center.
Ironically, the Spurs are also looking to break their five-game losing streak in this maiden encounter.
In their last assignment, the Wizards are coming off a 113-103 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Daniel Gafford's star shined brightest for Washington with a double-double performance of 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Bradley Beal chipped in 16 points in that campaign, while Deni Avdija contributed 15 markers.
"No matter what, I just kept playing," Gafford said after the game. "We've got KP (Kristaps Porzingis) out. So, really just stepping up was the main thing on my mind. Just locking in and being able to play physical throughout the full game."
The Wizards are averaging 112.7 points per game and carry an offensive rating of 112.7.
As far as their defensive efforts are concerned, Washington is allowing 113.2 points per contest while holding a defensive rating of 113.2.
For the Spurs, a win would see an end to their five-game losing streak.
They are coming off a tough overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns, 118-128.
Keldon Johnson led the Spurs in that loss with 34 points and five assists, while Jeremy Sochan backed him up with 30 markers and eight caroms.
"Great effort against a good basketball team, a very good basketball team. Lot of guys played, a lot of guys participated. They played physically, they played hard, did everything they could do. A couple of guys, Chris and Mikal took over during the overtime, made shots. Keldon tried to keep us in it, those guys kind of took over," Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said in the post-game.
The Spurs are 22nd in the league in most team points scored with an average of 112.7.
San Antonio is also surrendering 122.2 points per game with a defensive rating of 120.1.
The Wizards are -5 favorites to prevail over the Spurs, who are at +5.
Furthermore, the moneyline set for this matchup is -200 for Washington and +170 for San Antonio.
The game will be available via the NBA League Pass and on fuboTV at 8:00 PM ET.
