Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea, 60, shows off his iconic gap-toothed smile

Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea, 60, looked every inch the rockstar as he stepped out in Sydney's Surry Hills on Thursday.

The hitmaker, whose real name is Michael Balzary, was spotted taking photos with fans on a busy footpath, flashing his distinctive gap-toothed smile for the cameras.

Flea's gold-capped teeth glimmered in the summer sun as he grinned and chatted to onlookers.

The Californication rocker previously spoke of his smile in a Twitter exchange with American model Chrissy Teigen.

In July 2020, Chrissy Tweeted: 'Am I too old for a little diamond on my nose? You don’t have to tell me I’m not old! I know I’m not olllllld but you know what I’m saying. Please be honest lol.'

Flea playfully responded: 'Hell no. I got gold teeth in my mid fifties. Grow into being a pirate.'

Flea showcased his remarkably fit physique for the outing, flashing his tattooed biceps in a white singlet that hugged his toned torso.

A pair of Lakers basketball shorts, yellow crew socks and white sneakers completed his casual ensemble.

For jewellery, he wore a gold chain necklace, a chunky watch and his wedding band from wife Melody Ehsani.

The sighting comes weeks after Flea celebrated the arrival of his first child with fashion designer Melody on December 12.

The newborn, whose name has not yet been revealed, is the first for Ehsani and the third for the musician, who shares daughter Clara, 34, with ex-wife Loesha Zeviar, and 17-year-old Sunny Bebop with Frankie Rayder.

Flea married the fashion designer in 2019 in a lavish ceremony in Los Angeles, with Elshani calling it her 'best collaboration to date'.
