A delay in the game led some Denver Nuggets stars to start playing another as crews worked to repair the rim on a basketball net.
The delay occurred during Denver's game against the Boston Celtics after a monster dunk by Robert Williams wrenched the rim in a different direction.
It caused the rim to become uneven, forcing officials to pause the game and let crews level out the basket. The game was paused for about 40 minutes to ensure the repairs worked.
During that time, journeyman center DeAndre Jordan spotted a young fan sitting on the baseline with a sign that read, 'Rock Paper Scissors for shoes'.
Jordan obliged and the two played to a best two-out-of-three for the player's kicks - all while people worked on the nets behind them.
It wasn't clear what either person threw, but judging by the reaction of guard Christian Braun - who watched Jordan - it appears the kid won himself a new pair of shoes.
Once the game got back underway, the Celtics couldn't recover and the Nuggets won 123-111.
Nuggets center Nikola Jokic grabbed himself yet another triple-double, putting up 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists. Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics with 30 points and eight rebounds.
Boston has lost four of their last eight games as their lead in the Eastern Conference has slipped to only one-and-a-half games ahead of the second place Brooklyn Nets.
