NFL free agent Odell Beckham Jr. shows off surgically repaired knee with game of pickup basketball

Odell Beckham Jr. showed off his surgically repaired left knee with a pickup basketball game.

Footage of the informal shootaround was published by TMZ, showing the NFL free agent posting up a larger defender before hitting an impressive layup. He also tossed an alley-oop pass off the backboard to set an up easy dunk for a teammate.

Beckham is seen wearing a bizarre t-shirt reading 'I Love Oral Sex' throughout the clip.

He had been hoping to sign with a team this season after tearing his ACL while playing for the Los Angeles Rams in last year's Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The 30-year-old even had a free-agency tour that included meetings with the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and the New York Giants, one of his former teams.

ACL injuries typically entail about a year of recovery for athletes, so it's not a surprise that Beckham struggled to catch on anywhere in 2022. However, he could see renewed interest following the season, when he'll likely be closer to returning to the field.

Beckham has made other news away from football in 2022.

His free-agency tour came days after he was kicked off a Los Angeles-bound flight from Miami last month after officials said he failed to respond to requests to buckle his seatbelt and appeared to be unconscious. As a result of Beckham's ejection, the flight was delayed roughly 90 minutes, to the dismay of other passengers.

American Airlines representative Alfredo Garduno confirmed that flight 1228 to Los Angeles returned to the gate before takeoff 'due to a customer failing to follow crew members' instructions and refusing to fasten their seat belt.'

In Beckham's defense, his attorney Daniel Davilier released a statement saying the Super Bowl champion was the victim of an 'overzealous flight attendant' who 'wanted to prove' his authority.
