Jordyn Woods has movingly gifted her NBA boyfriend Karl-Anthony Towns a portrait of his late mother Jacqueline.
Jacqueline succumbed to COVID-19 complications at the age of 58 last April after spending 19 days on a ventilator and being put in a medically induced coma.
The portrait Jordyn gave Karl-Anthony has a touching inscription on the back: 'TO MY KING WHO WAS RAISED BY A QUEEN! I LOVE YOU - JORDYN.'
Karl-Anthony tweeted pictures of the portrait and the inscription on Saturday and wrote: 'Love you babe. Thank you.'
During her life Jacqueline could frequently be seen at her son's games while he played for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
A family statement last April said the 'matriarch of the Towns family' had been 'battling the virus for more than a month' before she died.
Karl-Anthony's father Karl Sr. also contracted the novel coronavirus last year but fortunately was able to recover.
However others in the basketball player's inner circle were not so lucky and he has lost a total of seven family members to the disease.
'I've seen a lot of coffins in the last seven months,' the NBA star shared during an interview with ESPN this past December.
'Last night I got a call that I lost my uncle. I feel like I've been hardened a little bit by life and humbled,' he explained.
Early in the pandemic before his mother's death Karl-Anthony announced he was donating $100,000 to the Mayo Clinic to help them step up COVID-19 testing.
Jordyn's latest heartwarming gesture comes shortly after her family had to put the kibosh on rumors that she and Karl-Anthony are engaged.
The conjecture took off when Jordyn was pictured on her Instagram page wearing a massive ring on her left hand.
However her mother and manager Elizabeth Woods assured TMZ that the bauble was just on for a photo-shoot.
