SATURDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

BOYS BASKETBALL

Josh Campbell netted 24 points and 10 rebounds as Archbishop Williams rolled to an 86-73 victory over Cathedral in the Catholic Central League.

BOYS HOCKEY

Dylan Damiani scored twice as Lynnfield rolled to a 6-1 victory over Cape Ann League foe Rockport/Manchester-Essex/Ipswich.

Declan Walsh had two goals and three assists as Milton rolled to an 8-2 win over Newton North in the Bay State Conference.

Aidan Brazel scored a pair of goals, helping Hingham top St. John’s Shrewsbury, 5-2. … Will Carey scored twice as Masconomet defeated Bishop Fenwick, 5-2.

GIRLS HOCKEY

In a nonleague matchup, Jen Birolini finished with four goals and Emily LaVallee stopped 38 shots as Pembroke blanked Norwell, 8-0. … Julia Holmes had a hat trick as Winthop handled Medford, 7-0. … Maggie Lynch scored twice as Archbishop Williams edged Malden Catholic, 2-1.

WRESTLING

St. John’s Prep successfully defended its Div. 1 North sectional title. Joining the Eagles as Div. 1 sectional winners were Natick (C/W), Newton South (C/E) and Taunton (S). In Div. 2, Milford captured the West sectional title. Other sectional winners in Div. 2 were Sharon (C), Bridgewater-Raynham (S) and North Andover (N). In Div. 3, sectional winners were Tewksbury (N), Tri-County (C), Norton (S) and Hampden Charter East (W)

CLASS NOTES

Andover will be inducting a new class to its Hall of Fame on Saturday, March 25 at the Andover Country Club. Current members of the Hall span well over 100 years and include athletes from as early as 1911.

The honorees, in alphabetical order with the year of graduation in parentheses, are Moira Cronin (2011), Christopher Cullen (1996), Maggie D’Innocenzo (2014), Ian Dowe (1984), Alyson Fazio (2012), Sean Geary (2004), Matt Gibson (1995), Ed Huot (1966), Arthur Iworsley (coach), Elizabeth Mancuso (2004), Christopher McConnell (2010), Tommy McLaughlin (2001), EJ Perry III (1983), Jaclyn Torres (2013), and Scott White (1973).

Also entering are State Championship Girls’ Basketball Teams – 2003, 2010, 2011, 2012, State and New England Championship Boys’ Outdoor Track & Field Team – 1984, and State Championship Girls’ Swim & Dive Teams 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Each inductee will receive an individual plaque and have his or her name engraved on a permanent plaque hanging on the wall in the foyer of Donald Dunn Gymnasium at Andover High School.

Individual tickets or tables seating 10 can be purchased for $75.00 per ticket.
