Stitches wraps up the MLB regular season, previews the playoffs

We had joy. We had fun. We had seasons in the sun.

Unless they pull a “Mike Francesca,” Sunday was retirement day for baseball legends Miguel Cabrera, Adam Wainwright, Joey Votto, Zack Greinke, Brandon Crawford, Terry Francona and, less ceremoniously, Buck Showalter.

Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, Bob Menendez, Nancy Pelosi and Stitches insist they still have a few good years left and aren’t going anywhere.

The week that was.

With 8 inches of rain on the way, Mayor Adams kept the schools open.

If your name wasn’t Michael Phelps you needed a canoe.

Taylor Swift made the front and or back pages of The Post for five days.

Aaron Rodgers said more from his couch than Doug Burgum said at the Republican presidential debate.

While Burgum came up a couple of sentences short, Vivek Ramaswamy looked to be a couple of sandwiches short standing next to Chris Christie.

The Cubs lost, but we escaped when Justin Steele sat.

Regular season ends on a silent note.

Down -1,182 arrivedercis. No game Monday.

Wild-card games begin Tuesday. Picks coming unless we end up like Showalter.
