Lea Michele appeared in high spirits on Wednesday as she headed out in New York City before taking to the stage for a performance in Broadway's Funny Girl.
The performer, 36, started off the new year on a healthy note as she sipped on a green juice, flashing a smile to onlookers.
And it comes after she recently opened up about her struggles with self-image growing up, admitting that she was often hit by hateful comments about her looks.
Keeping casual as she made her way to the matinee performance, Lea was dressed in black leggings and a grey jumper.
The Glee star kept warm with a longline black coat and matching trainers, keeping her head down as she shielded her eyes with black sunglasses.
Her chocolate brown tresses were tied away into a low bun as they sat underneath a baseball cap - with the star keeping her complexion natural.
Lea flashed a smile as she was undoubtedly raring to go for the performance in the stage hit - which recently broke a Broadway all-time box office record by making over $2M in one week.
But despite the incredible role, the TV star recently spoke out about struggles she has had with self-image while on the rise to fame.
Talking with Town & Country last month, she recalled: 'Growing up, people would tell me to get nose jobs, that I wasn’t pretty enough for film and television.'
The scrutiny is similar to that which her role model Barbra Streisand faced, who stormed to fame in the same role over 40 years ago.
She was hurled similar abuse over her own looks and nose, with the icon previously sharing: 'I wasn’t like those pretty girls with those nice little noses.'
Lea certainly has done the role justice, with the Broadway revival's gross for the eight-performance ending December 18 was $2,005,696.80, which is the highest gross for the production and for August Wilson Theatre, according to Just Jared.
Funny Girl broke the record previously set by Mean Girls, which had a house record of $1,994,386 - from 2018.
