Jennifer Lopez is 'open' to rekindling relationship with Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez may want to be more than friends with ex-fiance Ben Affleck following their recent reunion.

The 51-year-old star is 'is open to having a relationship' with the 48-year-old actor, a source told People on Wednesday.

'She wants to spend as much time with Ben as possible to see where this could go,' the insider said to the publication. The two are currently together in Montana.

The former couple have been spending more time together but the source explained: 'They are certainly not making any plans about the future.'

The news came after the Oscar winner was seen being picked up in what was reportedly Lopez's SUV and taken to her home, after dropping his car off at the Bel-Air Hotel, presumably in hopes that their rendezvous would go unnoticed.

On Saturday, Affleck and Lopez confirmed their burgeoning romance when they were spotted together during a snowy vacation in Montana.

The Argo star and director was seen driving an SUV headed toward the airport, while Lopez was his passenger.

The actress 'had a great time with Ben,' the same source previously told the outlet, adding, 'She is happy with him and enjoys spending time with him.'

A separate insider said the two 'spent several days' together out of town, adding: 'They have a strong connection. It's all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy.'

But not everyone is happy with the reunion news, with Lopez's ex Alex Rodriguez, 45, reportedly feeling 'jealous' to see his former fiancée enjoying herself with the Oscar winner.

'Alex was jealous that Jen and Ben were seeing each other,' a source told US Weekly. 'He’s still holding out hope they can reconcile.'

Meanwhile, Jennifer's inner circle is apparently excited to see her moving on from her recent breakup.

'All of Jen’s friends want her to find a partner. She gives so much to her children and fans,' the insider said.

A new report indicated that 'Bennifer' held off on their in-person reunions until she had ended her engagement to the former baseball player.

'She didn't see Ben until it was over with Alex,' a source close to the Hustlers star told People on Tuesday.

According to the insider, 'Jennifer was in contact with Ben before she split from Alex.'

However, 'It was friendly conversations and they didn't make a plan behind Alex's back that they would date.'

TMZ previously reported that Affleck had been sending Lopez emails dating back to February, when she filming her upcoming comedy film in the Dominican Republic.

The emails weren't merely friendly, though, but apparently were filled with longing for the Love Don't Cost A Thing singer

He reportedly wrote about wishing her could join her and complimented her beauty, though he was busy himself in Boston where he was filming The Tender Bar with his friend George Clooney.

Affleck also reportedly referenced Lopez's love of his writing and wrote that he could 'own her heart' with his pen.

That shouldn't be too much of a surprise, as Affleck received an Academy Award for his screenplay to Good Will Hunting, which he wrote with the film's star Matt Damon.

On May 2, both Affleck and Lopez made separate appearances at the Vax Live concert in LA, which addressed vaccine hesitancy and encourage world leaders to focus on equity when distributing Covid-19 vaccines.

Shortly after, the two were whisked away to Montana on a private jet, and Ben reportedly owns a chalet in the area.

The two were away for 'about a week,' according to E! News, and they 'were alone' for the duration of the trip.
