Alison Hammond gives fans a glimpse of joint 48th and 18th birthday party with son Aiden

Alison Hammond appeared to be having a blast as she hosted a joint 48th and 18th birthday party with her son Aiden on Saturday night.

The presenter gave her fans a glimpse of the star-studded Solihull bash through an Instagram Live stream, which saw one attendee wave money in the air while drag queens danced for the camera.

With the likes of Holly Willoughby, Dermot O'Leary and Vanessa Feltz in attendance, Gok Wan put his DJ skills to use as he blasted out Liberty X's Just A Little from behind the decks before telling viewers he wasn't getting paid for the gig.

'We're live on Instagram,' Alison told revellers - including Ronnie Wood's wife Sally, Carol Vorderman, her sister Saunra and her brother whose name is unknown - as she filmed their antics

Giant light-up 48 and 18 statues were on display behind a giant blue birthday cake for Aiden and a an elaborately-decorated pink floral one for Alison.

Concluding the eight-minute video, the former Big Brother housemate said: 'Hi everyone, woo, we're having a lovely party.

'I wish you was all here, that's why I've gone live on Instagram. I've had some birthday cake, I've had some food, I'm drinking water and I've had a lovely time.

'I hope you've enjoyed joining me, I'm gonna go now and enjoy my party. Love you, bye!'

Taking to her own profile, Holly shared a snap alongside her This Morning co-stars, Alison and Dermot, writing: 'This picture sums the night up… blurry… happiest of birthdays to @alisonhammond55 … love you @dermotoleary @thismorning ♥️.'

Vanessa commented: 'Thank you for letting me follow your car home. It was my guiding star ⭐️⭐️⭐️.'

Carol captioned a shot of herself with one of the drag queens: 'BLOODY GOOD PARTY. Happy Birthday Kween @alisonhammond55 ❤️❤️.

'And your Aidan #18 Having too good a night.'

Carol cosied up to her pal Alison as she shared a gorgeous selfie from the bash.

The maths whizz looked incredible in a khaki button-up dress and accessorised with a sprinkling of glitter on her face as she beamed alongside her This Morning co-star.

She went on to dance the night away with her pals as she shared a video layered against Patrice Rushen's Forget Me Nots.

In her caption, Carol gushed over the birthday pair while admitting she did the 'worst impression of Cher ever seen' before realising it was time to go home.

She wrote: 'ALISON HAMMOND ♥️ It was the Kween’s @alisonhammond55’s birthday party last night with her son Aidan who turned 18.

'What a night. @dermotoleary @thespeakmans… All of the @thismorning team were there @vanessafeltzofficial

'Ended up doing the worst impression of Cher ever seen....and singing Fields of Athanray in the bar till ‘go home o’clock’...

'Top night.... Happy Birthday A and A ❤️❤️ love you. Time for breakfast. Dress: @mrselfportrait.'

Back in August, Alison looked every inch the doting mum as she shared a rare selfie with her son.

Flashing a wide grin, the TV personality beamed as she wrapped her arm around the teenager, while looking stylish in a pair of Seventies style sunglasses.

Nailing casual chic, the presenter wore an animal print top and leather jacket as she cosied up to her teenage son.

She showed off her natural beauty with a slick of nude lipstick for the selfie.

Meanwhile, Aiden also showed off his choice of style for the snap.

The student wore a pair of oversized fashion glasses and a baseball hat as he chilled with his famous mum.

The TV favourite simply captioned the snap: 'Happy Holidays.'

Last year, Alison confessed she 'hasn't always been there' for Aiden, due to 'sacrifices' that come with being a high-profile TV personality.

The presenter was speaking at the BAFTA Television Awards with Aiden and gushed about how much it meant to bring him along.

Speaking to Vick Hope on the red carpet, the single mum said: 'I've got my son here today, you know, with this... with working in television and stuff comes sacrifices.

'I haven't always been been there for my son, so this is a wonderful recognition, and I'm so honoured that the BAFTA's nominated me really.'
