The athletics club behind the Women’s Mini Marathon has earned €1.2m in dividends from the annual race over the last 10 years, while also receiving almost €10m from a visa investment scheme.

The race was in the news last week when organisers expressed dismay at being charged by An Garda Síochána for the first time for policing the annual 10km Dublin event.
