Asian Games 2023 October 3 Live Updates:India is on course for its biggest ever medal haul at Asian Games. At the Asian Games 2018, India won 70 medals - its highest ever medal tally at the continental event. India are already on 69 medals at the Asian Games 2023 with five more days of medal events left. On Tuesday, athletics led India's charge in the second half of the day while in the morning it was archery. In athletics, Parul Chaudhary (gold, women's 5000m), Annu Rani (gold, women's javelin throw), Tejaswin Shankar (silver decathlon), Mohammed Afsal (silver, men's 800m), Praveen Chitharavel (bronze, men's triple jump), Vithya Ramraj (bronze, women's 400m hurdles) won the medals. India earned its first medal of the day through Canoeing, where Arjun Singh and Sunil Singh Salam finished third in Men's Canoe Double 1000m event.  (Asian Games Medals Tally | Asian Games Full Schedule)

Also, India were assured of three medals in squash - Saurav Ghosal (men's singles), Dipika Pallikal/Harinder Pal Singh (mixed doubles), Abhay Singh/Anahat Singh (mixed doubles). In boxing, Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain assured India at least a silver medal by entering the women's 75kg final while Preeti and Narender bowed out with a bronze medals. Indian archers assured at least three medals in Compound events. Ojas Pravin and Abhishek Verma set up an all-Indian final in Men's Compound Individual event. Jyoti Surekha Vennam is in the final of women's compound individual archery event. .
